New training, stronger expertise, better service: The evolution of Schindler's elevator certification program
MORRISTOWN, NJ, October 15, 2026 – Delivering consistent service you can count on starts with building a stronger, safer, and more skilled workforce. That's why Schindler is excited to expand its Existing Installation Skills Confirmation (EISC) elevator program across the US, reinforcing our commitment to the knowledge mechanics need to safely deliver high-quality service and maintenance in the field.
Schindler's EISC program is a hands-on certification initiative designed to validate and strengthen the technical skills and capabilities of our technicians.
Beginning October 1, 2026, all new technicians hired three months prior, and thereafter, will be automatically enrolled in EISC training at one of our Technical Learning Centers. In January of 2027, the program will expand to include all Existing Installation technicians, superintendents, and general managers nationwide.
As Schindler's Chief Operating Officer, Jeremiah Heller, stated:
Technical excellence is at the heart of how we serve our customers every day. The expansion of EISC is an investment in our people and our future. By creating a consistent foundation of skills and knowledge across our field organization, we are strengthening safety, elevating service quality, and ensuring our teams have the confidence and expertise to deliver the best possible customer experience.
Investing in the people who support our customers every day will help to raise the standards for service excellence across the industry while continuing to deliver the high-quality experience building owners, facility managers, and passengers depend on from Schindler.
