Schindler to Celebrate Second Annual National Elevate Day on November 8 With Theme: “What Elevates You?"

MORRISTOWN, NJ, November 7, 2025 –  Schindler Elevator Corporation, a leading mobility provider of elevators, escalators, and moving walks, prepares for National Elevate Day, officially recognized on November 8 by National Day Archives. The holiday celebrates the vertical transportation industry—a sector essential to modern life.

A play on the date “eleven-eight” or “elev-8,” National Elevate Day honors the equipment that moves us, the enthusiasts who inspire us, and the workforce that keeps us moving safely. Elevators and escalators carry passengers more than 2.8 billion miles annually in the United States alone—nearly 26 times the distance traveled by all rail and air traffic combined, according to the National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII).

This year’s theme, “What elevates you?,”  invites us all to reflect on what inspires you, fuels your ambition, or drives your purpose. Whether it’s a mentor, a mission, a moment, or the technology behind vertical transportation, National Elevate Day is a celebration of upward momentum in careers, communities, and everyday lives.
