Modernization milestone at Miami International Airport
As part of a major infrastructure project, Schindler has successfully modernized 22 elevators, escalators, and moving walks at Miami International Airport.
We’re thrilled to announce the successful modernization of multiple Schindler units at Miami International Airport, marking a major milestone in long-term infrastructure priorities.
This extensive project—celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony—includes upgrades to traction and hydraulic elevators, INTRUSS® escalator modernizations, and the replacement of existing moving walks with Schindler 9500-20 pitless moving walks. In total, 22 conveyance units were turned over through a combination of modernization, rip-and-replace efforts, and major repairs.
This achievement is the result of months of coordinated effort across planning, execution, and quality assurance, all delivered with a focus on elevating the passenger experience. From initial planning to final execution, every phase reflects our local modernization team’s unwavering commitment to innovation, precision, and excellence.
