AIA Courses for Architects

Schindler offers a variety of accredited Lunch & Learn courses. Each seminar provides the opportunity for architects, designers, and builders to learn about the latest developments in escalator and other general vertical transportation technology and earn learning credits.

• "Escalator Applications" (ESC2024) focuses on escalator architectural features, mechanical components, and design. 1.5 hours, 1.5 credits, HSW.
• "Escalators for Public Transportation" (EscTransit2024) instructs AIA members on how to choose the right escalator for public transit requirements. 1.5 hours, 1.5 credits.
• "Intro to Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks" (EEMW2023) is an introduction to vertical transportation equipment and applications. 1.5 hours, 1.5 credits, HSW.
• "Machine Room Less Elevators" (MRL2024) is an in-depth look at MRL elevator technology. 1.5 hours, 1.5 credits.
• "Moving Walk Applications" (MW2022) covers moving walk applications, components, and drawings. It also covers environmental concerns and sanitization solutions. 1.5 hours, 1.5 credits.
