Electronics engineers develop and implement electronic circuits for devices or computer programs from the idea to the finished product in teams and with other professionals. Typical activities include programming, developing, wiring, measuring, testing and analyzing. After your standard basic education you choose to focus on hardware and/or software and help to develop the technologies.

Headquarter in Ebikon, Lucerne 

Apprenticeship duration

The basic training lasts 4 years.

Vocational school

  • 1,5-2 days a week in Emmen
  • Vocational school leaving certificate (if desired)


  • Senior grade A or very good final marks in B-stream senior grade
  • Logical thinking
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in teams
