Schindler is one of only 67 businesses oprerating in NSW to have obtained a silver partnership in the NSW Sustainability Advantage Program.

This program was introduced several years ago to help organisations achieve performance and improvement in their approach to the environment.

We have achieved a great record through careful and deliberate improvements in managing our footprint including:

• Changing our service fleet to low emission vehicles reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
• Recycling used materials such as handrails, oil and crates
• Introducing sensor lights in every Schindler office reducing energy consumption by 20%
• Introducing two-sided printing reducing paper consumption
• Requiring our subcontractors to also commit to environmental principles
• Using recycled paper for all external and internal publications
• Ensuring 100% of all oils purchased are biodegradable
