Schwacher Aktienkurs von Hyundai Elevator zwingt Schindler zur dritten Wertberichtigung der Beteiligung
Der Aktienkurs von Hyundai Elevator Co. Ltd., Südkorea (Hyundai Elevator), hat sich im Juni weiter abgeschwächt und in den letzten Tagen einen neuen Tiefststand erreicht. Daran vermochte auch der im 1. Quartal 2014 positiv verlaufende Geschäftsgang des Aufzugsgeschäfts von Hyundai Elevator nichts zu ändern.
Der tiefere Grund der Kursschwäche ist bei den kontrollierenden Aktionären zu suchen, welche Hyundai Elevator als Instrument zur Aufrechterhaltung der Kontrolle über die verlustschreibende Hyundai Merchant Marine Ltd. benutzen. Die übrigen Aktionäre haben kein Mitspracherecht und damit keine Möglichkeit, auf die Entscheidungsfindung über die Erhöhung des Eigenkapitals und das Eingehen von Derivatverträgen Einfluss zu nehmen (siehe Medienmitteilung vom 19. Dezember 2013). Schindler hat aus diesem Grund mehrere Klagen gegen Hyundai Elevator sowie Mitglieder des Verwaltungsrates von Hyundai Elevator eingereicht, welche nach wie vor hängig sind.
Der schwache Aktienkurs von Hyundai Elevator zwingt Schindler - zusätzlich zu den im Berichtsjahr 2013 verbuchten Wertberichtigungen von insgesamt CHF 219 Millionen - eine weitere Abschreibung von CHF 40 Millionen auf der Beteiligung vorzunehmen. Diese erneute Wertberichtigung belastet das Finanzergebnis im 2. Quartal und schmälert den Konzerngewinn 2014 um diesen Betrag. Der Buchwert der Beteiligung an Hyundai Elevator beträgt in der Konzernbilanz neu CHF 95 Millionen. Sollte sich der Aktienkurs von Hyundai Elevator weiterhin deutlich abschwächen, werden zusätzliche Wertberichtigungen notwendig sein. In der Bilanz der Schindler Holding wurde die Beteiligung an Hyundai Elevator im Berichtsjahr 2013 vollständig abgeschrieben.
