ALSO Konzern weiterhin auf Kurs

Der ALSO Konzern steigerte den Konzerngewinn in den ersten neun Monaten 2010 gegenüber der Vorjahresperiode um 9% (+10% in Lokalwährung) auf CHF 16.3 Mio. Der konsolidierte Umsatz lag mit CHF 2’966 Mio. auf Vorjahresniveau (+6% in Lokalwährung). Für 2010 rechnet ALSO – einschliesslich Sonderkosten im Zusammenhang mit dem geplanten Zusammenschluss mit Actebis, aber unter Ausklammerung nicht voraussehbarer Ereignisse – mit einem Konzerngewinn von CHF 22 bis 25 Mio. (2009: CHF 15 Mio.).

Berichtsperiode 1. Januar bis 30. September 2010

Im Gegensatz zum ersten Halbjahr 2010 ging die Nachfrage nach IT-Produkten im dritten Quartal gegenüber dem Vorjahr in weiten Teilen Europas leicht zurück. Der Nachfragerückgang war im Privatkundengeschäft ausgeprägter als im Firmenkundengeschäft. Dennoch gelang es ALSO, in den ersten neun Monaten mit CHF 2’966 Mio. einen konsolidierten Umsatz auf Vorjahresniveau zu erreichen (+6% in Lokalwährung). Der Betriebsgewinn reduzierte sich gegenüber der Vorjahresperiode währungsbedingt um 2% auf CHF 33.7 Mio.; in Lokalwährung hingegen stieg er um 2%. In diesem Ergebnis sind Sonderkosten von insgesamt CHF 2.1 Mio. enthalten, die für das strategische IT-Projekt und die Prüfung der Halbjahreszahlen durch die Revisionsstelle im Zusammenhang mit dem geplanten Zusammenschluss von ALSO und Actebis anfielen. Der Konzerngewinn stieg in den ersten neun Monaten gegenüber der Vorjahresperiode um 9% (+10% in Lokalwährung) auf CHF 16.3 Mio.

Entwicklung der Marktsegmente

Im Marktsegment Schweiz/Deutschland lag die Nachfrage nach IT-Produkten im dritten Quartal im Firmengeschäft über dem Vorjahreswert, im Privatkundengeschäft jedoch nur auf Vorjahresniveau. In den ersten neun Monaten steigerte ALSO den Umsatz in diesem Marktsegment gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 1% (+7% in Lokalwährung) auf CHF 2’072 Mio. Zu dieser positiven Entwicklung trugen beide Länder bei. Der Betriebsgewinn blieb vor allem aufgrund der leicht niedrigeren Bruttomarge sowie des schwachen Euro mit CHF 31.1 Mio. unter dem Ergebnis der Vorjahresperiode. Der Gewinn vor Steuern betrug CHF 22.3 Mio.

Im Marktsegment Nord-/Osteuropa ist die Nachfrage nach IT-Produkten im dritten Quartal in Finnland und Norwegen sowohl im Firmen- als auch im Privatkundengeschäft leicht gestiegen. In den baltischen Staaten legte der kommerzielle Bereich erstmals wieder zu, vor allem dank der steigenden staatlichen Nachfrage. Der Privatkonsum stagnierte jedoch auf dem tiefen Vorjahresniveau. Der Umsatz in diesem Marktsegment sank in den ersten neun Monaten währungsbedingt um 3% auf CHF 895 Mio., während in Lokalwährung ein Umsatzplus von 5% resultierte. Der Betriebsgewinn von CHF 4.2 Mio. wie auch der Gewinn vor Steuern von CHF 2.1 Mio. übertrafen die Werte der Vorjahresperiode deutlich.

Stand des geplanten Zusammenschlusses mit Actebis

Die Arbeiten für den geplanten Zusammenschluss von ALSO und Actebis verlaufen bisher planmässig. Ziel ist es, den geplanten Zusammenschluss noch vor Ende 2010 zu vollziehen. Das Zustandekommen des Zusammenschlusses ist abhängig von der Vervollständigung und vom positiven Ausgang der Due Diligence, dem Abschluss eines Zusammenschlussvertrages, der Genehmigung durch die zuständigen Kartellbehörden sowie der Zustimmung der Aktionäre von ALSO und der Gremien der Droege Group AG.

Ausblick 2010: Konzerngewinn von CHF 22 bis 25 Mio.

Die volkswirtschaftliche Entwicklung in den Europäischen Märkten ist weiterhin unsicher. Es ist zum heutigen Zeitpunkt deshalb nicht abzuschätzen, wie sich die Nachfrage im traditionell stärksten vierten Quartal entwickeln wird. ALSO rechnet für 2010 – einschliesslich Sonderkosten im Zusammenhang mit dem geplanten Zusammenschluss, jedoch unter Ausklammerung nicht vorhersehbarer Ereignisse – mit einem Konzerngewinn von CHF 22 bis 25 Mio. (2009: CHF 15 Mio.).
