ALSO: Halbjahresbericht 2010

Im ersten Halbjahr 2010 stieg der konsolidierte Umsatz um 3% (+7% in Lokalwährung) auf CHF 2.0 Mrd. und der Konzerngewinn um 29% auf CHF 11.1 Mio.  Vor allem das Marktsegment Nord-/Osteuropa hat substanziell zu dieser Ergebnisverbesserung beigetragen.

Der leichte Konjunkturaufschwung in Europa hat im ersten Halbjahr 2010 auch die IT-Industrie positiv beeinflusst. Vor allem Geschäftskunden haben ihre Ausgaben für IT-Infrastruktur gegenüber dem Vorjahr erhöht. Der Privatkonsum stagnierte mehrheitlich auf Vorjahresniveau. ALSO steigerte den Konzernumsatz im Vergleich zur Vorjahresperiode um 3% (+7% in Lokalwährung) auf CHF 1’999 Mio. Der Betriebsgewinn stieg aufgrund der deutlich verbesserten Leistung der nord- und osteuropäischen Tochtergesellschaften um 8% auf CHF 23.2 Mio. Der Konzerngewinn erreichte CHF 11.1 Mio. und übertraf damit die Vorjahresperiode um 29%. Die Eigenkapitalquote stieg auf 28% (31.12.2009: 24%).

Entwicklung der Marktsegmente

Im Marktsegment Schweiz/Deutschland erholte sich die Nachfrage nach IT-Produkten gegenüber der Vorjahresperiode sowohl bei Geschäfts- wie Privatkunden nur wenig. ALSO steigerte den Umsatz in diesem Marktsegment gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 4% auf CHF 1’394 Mio. (+8% in Lokalwährung). Zu dieser positiven Entwicklung trugen beide Länder bei. Der Betriebsgewinn blieb mit CHF 21.6 Mio. unter dem Ergebnis der Vorjahresperiode. Dies ist auf die leicht gesunkene Bruttomarge zurückzuführen. Der Gewinn vor Steuern betrug CHF 14.7 Mio. Im Marktsegment Nord-/Osteuropa (Finnland, Norwegen, Baltikum) hat sich die Nachfrage nach IT-Produkten im ersten Halbjahr 2010 unterschiedlich entwickelt. In Finnland und Norwegen war eine leichte Erholung zu erkennen, die baltischen Staaten waren nochmals rückläufig. In Nord-/Osteuropa lag der Umsatz mit CHF 605 Mio. um 1% unter dem Vorjahreswert, in Lokalwährung jedoch um 4% darüber. Die Massnahmen zur Steigerung der Ertragskraft zeigten im ersten Halbjahr 2010 ihre Wirkung, so dass der Betriebsgewinn von CHF 2.9 Mio. wie auch der Gewinn vor Steuern von CHF 1.8 Mio. substanziell über den Vorjahreswerten lagen. Finnland und Norwegen konnten beide den Umsatz steigern. In den baltischen Staaten lag der Umsatz leicht unter dem Vorjahresniveau.

Ausblick 2010: zweites Halbjahr von Unsicherheiten geprägt

Das schwer abschätzbare Nachfrageverhalten erlaubt zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt keine zuverlässige Gewinnprognose für 2010. Diese wird mit dem Ergebnis zum dritten Quartal veröffentlicht. Wie bereits im Q1 erwartet ALSO aber – unter Ausklammerung nicht vorhersehbarer Ereignisse – einen deutlich höheren Konzergewinn als 2009.
