Geschäftsjahresabschluss 2011: Erfreulicher Leistungsausweis in schwierigem Umfeld

Trotz Währungsturbulenzen und anhaltender konjunktureller Schwäche in einigen Hauptmärkten ist es Schindler 2011 gelungen, weiter zu wachsen und die operative Leistungsfähigkeit auf hohem Niveau zu halten. Der Auftragseingang stieg in Lokalwährungen um 4,8%, die Betriebsleistung gar um 6,9%. In Schweizer Franken resultierte allerdings ein währungsbedingter Rückgang von 6,0% respektive 4,1%. Das Aufzugs- und Fahrtreppengeschäft weist nach hohen Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 135 Mio. eine EBIT-Marge von 10,5% aus. Vor Belastung dieser Restrukturierungskosten erreichte die EBIT-Marge 12,3%. Der Konzerngewinn beträgt CHF 611 Mio. und entspricht vor Belastung der Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 98 Mio. nach Steuern nahezu dem sehr guten Vorjahreswert.

Erfreuliche Nachfrage nach Schindler-Produkten

Asien/Pazifik, Indien sowie Lateinamerika haben im Bausektor erneut ein starkes Wachstum verzeichnet. In Nordamerika hat sich die Nachfrage stabilisiert, Anzeichen für einen Aufwärtstrend sind erkennbar.

Einige südeuropäische Märkte haben sich weiter ab-geschwächt. Trotz der sehr unterschiedlichen Entwicklung der Märkte ist es Schindler gelungen, in allen Regionen zu wachsen, am stärksten in Asien/Pazifik, gefolgt von Lateinamerika. Der Auftragseingang erreichte CHF 8 249 Mio., was einem Anstieg in Lokalwährungen von 4,8% entspricht. Nach Umrechnung in Schweizer Franken resultierte ein Rückgang von 6,0%. Im Berichtsjahr wurde Schindler wiederum als Partner für nam-hafte Projekte weltweit ausgewählt. Zu diesem Erfolg trug nicht zuletzt die innovative PORT-Technologie bei, welche die Verkehrsströme im Gebäude steuert und optimiert.

Gute operative Leistung im Aufzugs- und Fahrtreppengeschäft

Die Betriebsleistung beträgt CHF 7 854 Mio., was einem Rückgang von 4,1% gegenüber dem Vorjahr entspricht. Tiefere Umrechnungskurse haben die Betriebsleistung mit CHF 900 Mio. negativ beeinflusst. In Lokalwährungen stieg die Betriebsleistung um 6,9%. Zwar ver-zeichneten alle Regionen Wachstum, die Regionen Asien/Pazifik und Lateinamerika wuchsen jedoch stark überproportional.

Im 4. Quartal 2011 wurde das Massnahmenpaket LEAP (Leading in Execution and Accelerating Performance) lanciert mit dem Ziel, das Unternehmen noch besser zu positionieren und wettbewerbsfähiger zu machen. LEAP fokussiert einerseits mit zusätz-lichen Investitionen auf den weiteren Ausbau in den strategischen Wachstumsmärkten China und Indien, andererseits wurden in den USA und Europa die Strukturen der Konzern-gesellschaften an die anhaltend schwächere Nachfrage angepasst. Damit verbunden wurden im 4. Quartal 2011 Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 135 Mio. vor Steuern der Erfolgs-rechnung belastet.

Das ausgewiesene Betriebsergebnis 2011 im Aufzugs- und Fahrtreppengeschäft ging auf CHF 828 Mio. zurück, was einer EBIT-Marge von 10,5% entspricht. Vor Berücksichtigung der Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 135 Mio. beträgt das Betriebsergebnis (EBIT) 2011 allerdings CHF 963 Mio. und die EBIT-Marge 12,3%. Trotz Frankenstärke und hohem Preisdruck erreichte die EBIT-Marge damit das Vorjahresniveau. Im 4. Quartal wurde vor den Restrukturierungskosten eine EBIT-Marge von 12,6% erzielt. Tiefere Umrechnungs-kurse hatten einen negativen Einfluss von CHF 110 Mio. im Berichtsjahr.

Konzernzahlen - Negative Währungseinflüsse

Nach Belastung der Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 135 Mio. erreichte das konsolidierte Betriebsergebnis (EBIT) des Konzerns CHF 790 Mio. Der negative Währungseinfluss 2011 betrug CHF 110 Mio. Der Konzerngewinn von CHF 611 Mio. entspricht vor Belastung der Restrukturierungskosten von CHF 98 Mio. nach Steuern nahezu dem sehr guten Vorjahreswert.

Reingewinn der Schindler Holding AG auf Vorjahresniveau

Die Schindler Holding AG hat das Geschäftsjahr 2011 mit einem Reingewinn von CHF 671 Mio. (Vorjahr CHF 670 Mio.) abgeschlossen. Der kommenden Generalversamm-lung vom 19. März 2012 wird die Ausschüttung einer ordentlichen Dividende von CHF 2.00 je Namenaktie und Partizipationsschein beantragt.

Ausblick

Die Einschätzung der globalen Wirtschaftsentwicklung bleibt schwierig. Schindler ist jedoch überzeugt, auch in diesem unsicheren Umfeld erfolgreich zu bestehen. Das Massnahmen-paket LEAP wird bereits in den nächsten Quartalen operative Verbesserungen bringen und stellt einen wichtigen Schritt dar, das Unternehmen noch besser zu positionieren und wettbewerbsfähiger zu machen. Unter Ausklammerung nicht vorhersehbarer Ereignisse erwartet Schindler für 2012 einen deutlich höheren Konzerngewinn.
