New Organisational Structure to drive global growth and profitability
The Board of Directors has decided to establish a new organisational structure with two dedicated Global Heads, one for New Installations and Supply Chain and one for the Service Business. Both positions will report to the CEO, Silvio Napoli and be effective from January 1, 2015.
The new Global Heads will have worldwide responsibility for the New Installations and Service Businesses respectively and will be accountable for their overall performance. They will work closely with the Heads of the Geographic Zones on the Group Executive Committee to ensure that group targets for growth and profitability improvement are met.
Oswald Schmid, currently Head of Europe North will be appointed as the Head of the New Installations Business and Supply Chain. Paolo Compagna, currently CEO of Schindler Germany, will succeed Oswald Schmid as Head of Europe North.
Christian Schulz, currently Head of Haushahn in Germany will be appointed as the Head of the Service Business.
Jakob Zueger, Head of Americas since 2006, will return to Switzerland and step down from the Group Executive Committee on 31st December 2014 before taking early retirement as planned. Silvio Napoli will then take direct responsibility for the Americas operations. Didier Gaudoux, Head of Europe South, is leaving the Group. Carlos Guembe, currently CEO of Schindler Iberia will be appointed as his successor.
As a consequence, the Group Executive Committee will as of January 1, 2015 be composed as follows: Silvio Napoli (CEO), Erich Ammann, David Clymo, Paolo Compagna, Carlos Guembe, Albert Haffert, Thomas Oetterli, Miguel A. Rodriguez and Oswald Schmid.
