Making an impact on gender diversity in our business
The Women in Leadership program has become a regular feature in our people development activities. Why? Because we know we need more women in management positions to make an impact on gender diversity in our business.
So far, the results of the program have been promising. In Europe, the first group of participants completed the program earlier this year and since then 20% of them have been promoted. This means that by developing women’s leadership potential, we’re having a tangible impact on their career development, and also making a difference in the gender balance within Schindler management positions.

A successful global program
Since the launch of the program in 2017, it has spread from Europe to other regions. First to the Americas, then to Asia-Pacific. Now the program has been so successful it has come full-circle and a new set of participants is starting their leadership development journey in Europe.
As the Women in Leadership program grows and matures we look forward to seeing a growing community of female leaders develop. These women will play an active role in the management of our business and will be part of the diverse and inclusive work leadership culture we are working towards.
