15 Schindler Igniting Minds students recently met with Schindler Group CEO, Thomas Oetterli, and the Schindler India Leadership Team.
Schindler Igniting Minds (SIM) is Schindler India’s flagship CSR initiative that aims to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) learning among students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through communication training, it also aims to enhance students’ self-confidence. The initiative pays particular attention to technical education for young women in support of Schindler India’s commitment to Inclusion & Diversity.
SIM is part of Schindler India’s broader CSR program, Fulfil Futures, which places significant importance on education.
Through a series of initiatives, such as SIM, Schindler India hopes to make a positive contribution to poverty reduction by breaking down one of the greatest barriers to equal opportunities.
During the meeting with Thomas, SIM scholars talked about their experience at Schindler and how it is helping them fulfil their dreams.
Through their confidence in their interactions with Thomas, Ashok Ramachandran (President & CEO, Schindler India & South Asia) and his leadership team, it was clear that the communication training is working.
