Schindler’s sustainability strategy ‘We Elevate Our World’ centers around six clearly defined priorities with ambitious targets set for 2022 to manage the firm’s impact on the economy, society and the environment.
Employee safety, talent diversity, community engagement, smart urban mobility, the global vehicle fleet and the supply chain will be our key areas for action over the next four years. These reflect the areas where Schindler believes it can best contribute to the global sustainability agenda while improving the management of its most relevant Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
Silvio Napoli, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says: “Our commitment to sustainability forms part of our fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the company and its stakeholders. By operating in a sustainable manner, we can align the success of our business with social responsibility and a forward-looking approach.”
“At Schindler, we define success not only by our financial outcomes, but the business ethics by which we operate and our impact to stakeholders worldwide,” according to Thomas Oetterli, Chief Executive Officer.
