Schindler Chairman of the Board of Directors, Silvio Napoli, has been appointed as Chairman and President of the Board of Directors of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce (Swiss AmCham) for an initial one-year-term by the Swiss AmCham at its AGM on June 24.
“I’m honored to be able to contribute to the continued success of this important organization”, commented Silvio Napoli on his appointment. “The U.S. is among Switzerland’s most important trading partners. Working jointly with outstanding individuals is a fantastic opportunity to further foster Swiss-American relations and, in turn, the Swiss economy”, he continued.
Silvio Napoli succeeds Sergio P. Ermotti, CEO UBS Group, who stepped down after completing the maximum tenure of three one-year terms stipulated by Swiss AmCham’s by-laws. Martin Naville continues to serve as CEO of Swiss AmCham.
Swiss AmCham is the largest Swiss business association for international companies facilitating strong business relations between Switzerland and the U.S. It also promotes Switzerland as an ideal business location for internationally active companies based in Switzerland, irrespective of origin or size.
