Dear Customer,

Given all our current concerns regarding the global spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I am reaching out to you to explain the measures we at Schindler have put in place to face this exceptional situation.

As always, at Schindler our first priority is to safeguard the health and safety of all our employees, customers, our passengers, our families and the communities where we live and work.

First, we can reassure you that, from the very beginnings of the outbreak, we have taken all necessary precautions and implemented stringent health and safety policies and procedures, designed to protect our employees, customers and passengers at all times.

As far as operations are concerned, we are making all best efforts to ensure that the elevators and escalators we install and service are kept in good order and can be used in complete safety. Essential maintenance and repairs are given priority, to ensure the safety of all passengers. Where access to sites is still feasible, our technicians will work on all products with the same care as usual and with extra precautions for the health and safety of everyone.

As part of these precautionary measures, we have equipped our field staff with the right personal protection such as masks, gloves and goggles when they have to go on site.

Our global Supply Chain organization has also put in place comprehensive measures to ensure that the supply of essential components and parts is guaranteed thanks to our network of suppliers in different geographies worldwide.

These are extraordinary times, and we are presented with a challenge that requires the best of us – both individually and collectively.

In many locations our office staff have moved to home office where possible, however essential services are maintained and we are fully equipped, networked and enabled to serve you as always. Our call centers and account managers remain available as usual.

Even during such a challenging time for our communities, we want to assure you of our total commitment to provide the best possible service to our customers.
