Schindler to supply elevators for Sigma NQS 95, a new landmark tower for the Colombian capital.
Sigma NQS 95 is an office project that will revolutionize the way architecture is conceived in Bogotà. The contemporary and futuristic project, characterized by its elegance and sobriety, is located in a privileged area in the north-western part of the metropolis.
The 27-story high tower will be built with state-of-the-art design and a unique mix of technology and bioclimatic components. The façade will contain UV radiation protected glass and offers an additional ventilation network for the control of the internal temperature of the building.
"Sigma is a project of great importance for us. Especially since we had the chance to participate in it from the early stage of the design phase”, says Wagner Oliveira, Managing Director of Schindler Andino Colombia. “This gave us the chance to bring our ideas in to optimize the movement of the people within the building by using our PORT technology.”
The PORT technology is Schindler’s highly advances destination control system that ensures that people find their fastest, most efficient and safest way to their destination. In total, Schindler will supply eight of its Schindler 5500 elevators to the tower. The Schindler 5500 is a modular passenger elevator that combines performance, flexibility and design for the requirements of commercial and mid and high-end residential buildings.
