The Schindler Group actively supports a wide range of charitable and cultural initiatives. Reflecting the philosophy behind these efforts, Schindler refrains from sponsoring and marketing in this field. Schindler also provides substantial financial contributions for educational institutions around the world and promotes learning-oriented initiatives.
Professional training strengthens local communities
With its training courses, employee development and succession planning, Schindler is not only investing in the future of the company, but it is also making a contribution to the communities in which it operates: by training more apprentices than the company actually needs, it is actively providing young people with key professional skills for the future. In Switzerland alone, around 300 young people are currently undertaking three- to four-year apprenticeships to qualify as mechanics, electrical engineers, IT specialists, sheet-metal workers, design engineers, electricians, logistics assistants, media engineers or commercial clerks.
The social value of Schindler's internal training programs is highlighted by the fact that a job at Schindler gives many employees in developing countries their first-ever chance to benefit from serious professional training.
Clean technology contributes to a sustainable urban mobility
Schindler develops environmentally friendly elevators and escalators by using lighter materials, more efficient drive technologies, energy recuperation and many more features, which help a building to become more sustainable. With its products it contributes to LEED and BREEAM certifications of its customers most sustainable projects.
Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI)

PACI is a global platform, established by the World Economic Forum (WEF), allowing companies and business leaders to maximize their collective impact in the fight against corruption.
