Schindler's Global HR Policy

Schindler's Corporate Management has created a Human Resources Policy to address key issues of how we attract, retain and train our thousands of employees worldwide. This policy defines the core values that underpin our corporate culture. We focus on providing needs-oriented training and customized programs to enhance the skills and expertise of both employees and managers.


Training focus

We operate technical training centers in all major market regions to enable our employees to acquire the very latest knowledge in line with technological developments. Our technicians complete comprehensive technical training programs before their first on-site assignments as well as with each market introduction of new products. Our technical staff are required to attend regular safety courses to ensure they know and rigorously apply internal and external safety regulations at all times.


State-of-the-art training methods

Schindler uses state-of-the-art training methods to promote the transfer of skills and expertise throughout the company. In view of the long life cycle and the numerous different generations of Schindler products in use today – ranging from older relay systems to those equipped with the latest micro-processor technology – it is essential for our technical staff to maintain and enhance their skills and know-how through continuous learning. We employ a variety of training methods from web-based e-learning, classroom teaching and workshops to self-study, learning-by-doing, job rotation and coaching by line managers.

The Schindler Career Development Program (SCDP) is a six-year, on-the-job management training program that gives you the chance to rise to top positions – international perspectives and professional guidance included.
