The following table provides Schindler’s key sustainability goals, defined in 2012: 

PeopleGoals 2012 - 2016
Employee safetyWe strive to improve our lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) by a further 25% by 2016 compared to the 2012 rate.
Customer ExcellenceSchindler aimed to introduce the Net Promoter System (NPS). The task was completed in 2013. We plan to enhance the Customer Excellence program and value proposition based on results of Net Promoter System and percentage detractors from 2014 to 2016.
The roll-out of Customer Excellence included a customized training program which was offered to 350 senior managers at the IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland. All target groups completed this training by end-2013.
People developmentSchindler rolled out an enhanced People Strategy to further improve performance, employee engagement, and leadership capabilities in 2013 to 2015.
Energy-efficient elevatorsOur goal is to reduce the environmental impact of new elevators by a further 5% by 2016. Furthermore we aim to introduce an elevator system with alternative energy sources. Finally we will ensure, all newly developed elevators achieve a VDI A-rating, in line with the current product range.
Service fleetSchindler's goal is to reduce the carbon emissions from the service fleet by 30% per unit by 2016 compared to the level of emissions recorded in 2012.  
Production facilitiesAll production facilities to comply with ISO 14001 standard by end-2015.
Supply chainWe will introduce a system to capture key environmental data for all outbound deliveries by 2015.
Economic targetsThe current guidance is available in latest financial reporting documents in the investor relations section of the Schindler website.
Ethical business behaviorTo ensure that all employees observe the principles of the Code of Conduct, all Schindler managers (including those with market focused functions such as sales, procurement, etc.) will continue to receive refresher training on the Code of Conduct; this will be extended to include technicians on an ongoing basis.
Transparent reportingWe introduced an annual GRI G3.1-aligned Sustainability Report as well as a Sustainability Brochure to further enhance transparency of our business.
