Carlos Guembe holds a degree in industrial electrical engineering from ICAI (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería), Madrid, Spain, and a master’s degree in foreign trade from EOI (Escuela de organizacíon industrial), Madrid, Spain, as well as a master’s in business administration from IE Business School, Madrid, Spain.

He began his career in 1978 and performed a number of international functions before joining the Schindler Group in 1990. He subsequently held various positions at Schindler Spain and Schindler Portugal. Before being appointed as a member of the Group Executive Committee, he served as CEO of Schindler Iberia from 2006 to 2014.

Carlos Guembe is a Spanish citizen, born in 1952.
