Major customers
Schindler Marine's most enduring partnership is with Italy's Fincantieri shipyard. Fincantieri chose Schindler as its partner back in 1988, when it entered the market for cruise ships. Other Schindler customers include the Genoa-based Mariotti shipyard, Cantieri Apuania in Tuscany, and Chantier de L'Atlantique", one of the world's largest shipyards, based in Saint-Nazaire, France. It was here that Schindler equipped Cunard's Queen Mary II.
In 2007, Fincantieri entered the mega-yacht segment of the cruise market, with Schindler Marine as its mobility partner. Their first mega-yacht - 134-metres long – is currently under construction.
