Schindler uses state-of-the-art training methods (blended learning) to promote the transfer of skills and expertise throughout the company.
In view of the long-life cycle and the numerous different generations of Schindler products in use today – ranging from older relay systems to those equipped with the latest micro-processor technology – it is essential for Schindler's technical staff to maintain and enhance their skills and know-how base through continuous learning. Methods We employ a variety of training methods - from web-based e-learning, classroom teaching and workshops to self-study, learning-by-doing, job rotation and coaching by line managers. Technical centers We operate technical training centers in all major market regions to enable our employees to acquire the very latest knowledge in line with technological developments. Our technicians complete comprehensive technical training programs before their first on-site assignments as well as with each market introduction of new products. Safety courses Our technical staff are required to attend regular safety courses to ensure they know and rigorously apply internal and external safety regulations at all times. |
