Schindler registered shares and Schindler participation certificates are listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.


What are the securities numbers?
The securities number for the registered share is 002463821 (ISIN: CH0024638212) and for the participation certificate 002463819 (ISIN: CH0024638196).


What is the nominal value of the shares?
The registered shares and the participation certificates have a nominal value of CHF 0.10 (10 centimes) each.


Do the registered shares and the participation certificates have the same rights?
The participation certificates have the same rights as the registered shares, with the exception that holders of participation certificates do not have voting rights and cannot attend the Annual General Meeting.

A dividend of CHF 2.00 was paid out on March 26, 2012 (previous year: CHF 2.00 as well as an additional dividend of CHF 1.00 per registered share and participation certificate).


Have you split the shares recently?
A 10-for-1 split of all registered shares and participation certificates took effect on March 27, 2006, after being agreed at the 2006 Annual General Meeting. The capital of Schindler Holding Ltd. now comprises 73,568,200 registered shares with a nominal value of CHF 0.10 and 50,936,400 participation certificates with a nominal value of CHF 0.10. Please note that at the AGM of March 20, 2007, it was decided that 480,000 of the participation certificates purchased in 2006 should be cancelled. The capital was correspondingly reduced by CHF 48,000 on May 24, 2007, on expiration of the legally required notice period.


Does Schindler buy back shares?
Yes, Schindler Holding Ltd. ended the buyback started on SIX Swiss Exchange on January 3, 2007, on December 30, 2009.
The Board of Directors of Schindler Holding Ltd. also approved a new buyback programme. Under this programme, from January 4, 2010, a maximum of 7,177,670 registered shares and a maximum of 4,860,940 participation certificates with a par value of CHF 0.10 each can be bought back via two separate trading lines on SIX Swiss Exchange. This corresponds to 10% of the registered share capital and participation capital respectively.
If less than 10% of the registered share capital is offered, Schindler Holding Ltd. will be entitled to buy back more than 10% of the participation capital. However, the buybacks may not in total exceed 10% of the nominal capital.
Schindler is under no obligation to purchase registered shares and/or participation certificates as and when they are offered over the second trading line. Schindler will act based on market developments.
Settlement has been entrusted to UBS Investment Bank, a business group of UBS AG.
